Serbian Spinach

What's The Big Idea?
Very much more than "just spinach", this rich creamy dish is packed full of cheese and other dairy products. Not one for vegans or those on a strict diet, but an interesting accompaniement to a meat dish such as Cevapcici (Balkan Burgers).

Either fresh or frozen spinach can be used.

Shopping List Here's the list of what you need, and if you click the link on the right, the nice people at Tesco will deliver it for you! 1lb cottage cheese 6 eggs, beaten 4oz butter 8oz Cheddar cheese, grated 6 tablespoons plain flour 2lbs fresh or frozen spinach Salt and freshly ground black pepper
What To Do Pre-heat the oven to 150C. If using fresh spinach, steam for 15 minutes. If using frozen spinach, defrost. Mix all the ingredients together well in a large bowl. Pour into a large well-greased casserole or baking dish. Cover and bake for 1 hour.
