Hungarian Warm Bacon & Potato Salad

What's The Big Idea?
This is a hearty, filling dish that makes a great accompaniement to Hungarian sausages - or as part of a buffet-style meal or barbecue.

Shopping List Here's the list of what you need, and if you click the link on the right, the nice people at Tesco will deliver it for you! 8 whole red potatoes, washed and peeled 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 small onion, chopped 4oz bacon, diced 3 tablespoons vinegar 2 tablespoons flour 2 teaspoons sugar 1 teaspoon salt

What To Do Cook the potatoes in boiling water until tender. Slice and place in mixing bowl. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the bacon until almost crisp. Remove from the pan and add to the bowl with the potato slices. Add the onion to the frying pan and fry for 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and add to the mixing bowl. Stir the flour into the fat left in the frying pan until smooth. Stir in the vinegar, sugar and salt, and enough water to make a medium sauce. Bring to a boil and cook until sauce is thickened. Pour over ingredients in mixing bowl, and mix well.
